Phiona Opoto is the founder and chief executive of Varona AI. A Nairobi-based entrepreneur with a sharp commercial instinct and a network spanning Silicon Beach's senior technology leadership and Nairobi's fast-rising engineering community, Phiona has built Varona at the intersection of two of the world's most dynamic tech corridors.

She launched Varona on a conviction she has held since founding the company: that African enterprises deserve the same caliber of operational infrastructure available to their counterparts anywhere on the planet. Phiona is Varona's primary relationship owner with government and institutional clients — translating complex technical capabilities into clear organizational value and commercial outcomes.

She brings a client-first discipline to every engagement, with a sharp read on Kenya's regulatory terrain, procurement landscape, and the commercial dynamics of government and donor-funded programs. She leads a team with more than 50 combined years of combined experience spanning infrastructure modernization, applied machine learning, and complex systems integration. She is based in Nairobi.

Sean Bradley is the Chief Technology Officer of Varona AI. A former member of the US Special Operations community and 25-year veteran of technology leadership, Sean brings the architectural depth and Silicon Beach network that underpins Varona AI's technical capability.

As founder of Victory Technology Partners, a full-service technology consultancy, Sean has designed and delivered cloud-native systems, AI / ML integrations, and enterprise software across some of the most demanding regulated environments in technology — from HIPAA-compliant patient data pipelines to NVIDIA GPU-accelerated analytics in oil discovery. His engagements as a senior architect include the LA County Department of Health, where he currently advises on systems modernization. He has consulted across multiple verticals — including healthcare, energy, finance, education, and entertainment.
